Tonight, MTV reiterated how reality TV is done! Geordie Shore put other UK reality shows to shame, for example: Made in Chelsea. This TV gold was achieved with brash, tanned, 'juiceheads'. Geordie Shore will of course be compared to Jersey Shore, but with rather large shoes to fill, it 'shore' is living up to its namesake across the pond. (So Far)
The Kooples has announced that Pete Doherty is designing a limited edition collection. Doherty's range includes separates such as flannel jackets, Soviet-style coats, t-shirts featuring his art work, suede and leather boots, as well as his signature trilby hat. The former The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman has been inspired by various thing. Wavering from vintage designs, military uniforms and Victorian London fused with Saint-Germain-des-Prés, as well as doomed Byronic heroes described by Lord Byron's ex-lover Lady Caroline as 'mad, bad, and dangerous to know'
Made in Chelsea in our
opinion, was not in the same league as the dearly missed TOWIE. Though some of
the cast members lacked general knowledge, not dissimilar to the TOWIE cast. Which
is a sad state of affairs, as these guys and girls, attended some of the best
private schools in Britain such as Eaton, Harrow, The Oratory School and The
Harrodian etc. Contrasts don't end there; most of the male cast have been club
promoters or PR managers at some point. (Remind you of anyone? Marc Wright perhaps?)
Spencer sent us on a trip down memory lane, of the infamous Marc
Wright... due to being immediately placed in a love triangle, possibly a love
square with his girlfriend Funda, Caggie and Francis.
Moreover, at least the
TOWIE cast, have names that belong in the 21st century, whereas the Made in
Chelsea cast mainly have old boarding school nicknames or names of a bygone
era, in example: Caggie, Binky and so on.
Overall the highlight of
the programme was when Francis and Fredrick, fell out of their rowing boat. (Everyone knows its not enough just to kick a ball about in the park, one must
go rowing with the 'lads' :S).
This doesn't mean we won't
be watching; sadly we don't possess the will power to resist. Nevertheless, comparisons
will always be drawn between the "essex elite" and the Chelsea lot.
(The elite in our hearts are those of TOWIE).
We just watchedCatfishonMore4...for those who haven't heard or seen this documentary, it is about a photographer Nev Schulman who lives with his brother Ariel and friend Henry Joost in New York. FRom the outset we learn of his relationship with Abby Pierce, an eight-year-old child prodigy artist in rural, Michigan, who sends him a painting of one of his photographs. They become Facebook friends as do the rest of Abby's family, including her mother, Angela (Wesselman); Angela's husband Vince; and Abby's attractive older half-sister Megan, a veterinarian, dancer and songwriter who lives in Gladstone, Michigan.
The story turns stranger and more questionable as the film unfolds, by the end the impression the film leaves is that of disbelief, shock and incredibly sad. Not to give anymore away heres a short clip...

Belgian.” This is what his album is about. About the quest for the identity of a man in his early
thirties. From spiritual soul to
mouth drum, his texts reflect all episodes of his life. “The album is my
response to a question from [his] biological mother during [their] only telephone
conversation in April 2005 ‘What have you been up to over the past 25 years?’”
Oh dear! From one extreme to the other whilst Channel 4 has Made in Chelsea starting this may, MTV has Geordie Shore which begins on the 24th of May. Subtitles might be needed :S.
Channel 4 have a new show starting on the 9th of May titled "Made in Chelsea", about socially elite guys and girls in Chelsea. in other words look forward to watching private schooled, horse faced, trust fund kids running around the Kings Road complaining about their love life and as channel 4 put it life isn't all "champagne and canapes" really?!?!?
We aren't so sure if this could rival our favourite TOWIE as were sure theres something more endearing about the guys and girls of Brentwood than the Chelsea lot hmmm well we shall see on the 9th of May.
